Employment Opportunities
The Edgewater Police Department is currently accepting applications.
Employment opportunities within the department are posted at City Hall located at 2401 Sheridan Boulevard and are listed in local newspapers. Application forms are available for download below, but will only be accepted when a job opening has been officially announced. For certified peace officer positions, you must be Colorado P.O.S.T. certified or certifiable at the time of hiring. The Edgewater Police Department does not retain unsolicited applications or resumes.
The Edgewater Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.
Police Officer General qualifications:
Minimum of 21 years of age US citizen Possess a valid Colorado drivers license at time of appointment Be Colorado POST certified or certifiable No felony convictions or offenses involving moral turpitude High School diploma or GED
Applications are available below or in person at the Edgewater Police Department, 5901 West 25th Avenue or at City Hall, 2401 Sheridan Blvd.
Applicants may submit applications via mail or hand delivery to the 5901 West 25th Avenue address. Applicants may also email their application along with a copy of their photo ID to edgepolice@edgewaterpd.com. Please do not submit resumes or other documentation with the original application.
Applications will be accepted until 4:00 P.M. on May 4, 2012.
Starting salary is $38,500.00 annually. The City of Edgewater offers excellent benefits and is an equal opportunity employer.
